Support for organizations and projects that offer resources

The Foundation provides support for organizations and projects that offer resources (such as data, knowledge, tools or events) to actors in communities and networks in order to strengthen their capacity for action. It also supports resources that focus on ensuring that the general public and decision-makers are better informed about the prevention of poverty through educational success.

The Foundation is very active in this area. A few examples of the many initiatives it supports are provided below.

An interactive cartography platform providing access to a vast warehouse of data on the academic trajectories and living conditions of Quebec youth. CartoJeunes is a tool for diagnostics, reflection, decision support and support for action designed for people interested in helping to reduce inequality in youth healthcare and education at the local, regional and provincial levels. >>>

Étude longitudinale du développement des enfants du Québec (ELDEQ)

The Québec Longitudinal Study of Child Development (QLSCD) (ELDEQ) was designed to advance our knowledge of child development. Its main objective was to identify factors in early childhood that affect the social adjustment and academic performance of young Quebecers. >>>


Observatoire des tout-petits

The mission of the Early Childhood Observatory is to help ensure that the development of very young children remains at the top of Quebec's list of social and political priorities. To achieve this goal, the Observatory compiles the most relevant and reliable data on 0-5 year-olds, prepares special reports and encourages dialogue and reflection on collective action in areas that have an impact on early childhood development. >>>

Canada Research Chair in Community Organization - Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO)

The Chaire de recherche du Canada en organisation communautaire (CRCOC) produces knowledge aimed at developing community organization through a better understanding of the conditions of success and the renewal of community organization practices. >>>



Communagir is an organization whose mission is to help Quebec communities accomplish the changes they consider necessary for their collective development.  >>>



Hooked on School Days (HSD)

The Journées de la persévérance scolaire are celebrated every year across Quebec during the third week of February, with the goal of mobilizing around young people to talk about the importance of hard work and perseverance, the risks of dropping out and the advantages of a high school diploma. Hooked on School Days also provide a yearly opportunity to remind the general public that keeping kids in school is everyone's business. >>>


The Early Childhood Week

This annual week-long forum provides an opportunity to communicate and encourage discussion on the status of the well-being and development of very young children in Quebec, to focus on actors and actions that have the potential to promote their development, and to raise public awareness and mobilize society to take action in the municipal, economic and political spheres. >>>
