Claude Chagnon to speak on bringing the economic and social milieus together to prevent poverty (“Allier l'économique et le social pour prévenir la pauvreté”)

The Quebec City Chamber of Commerce has invited Claude Chagnon to speak at a luncheon on Monday, May 12, 2014.

No one can deny that poverty is both a social and economic issue that we, as a society, have a responsibility to work together in order to prevent. It is in everyone's interest-not just social actors but members of the business community as well-to come together and get involved. Through its activities, the Chagnon Foundation joins forces with the collective effort, helping to prevent poverty by focusing on the educational success of children in Quebec. Many initiatives are already underway in Quebec City and the surrounding region. Mr. Chagnon will take the opportunity presented by this event to recognize the efforts of all the individuals who work tirelessly-often behind the scenes-for the good of our children, our society and our future.
