Authors’ collective signs open letter on the importance of giving every child a chance to succeed in school
In response to a letter to the editor published on January 12, 2013, in Montreal daily La Presse, an authors' collective made up of members of the Groupe d'action sur la persévérance et la réussite scolaires au Québec (Quebec action group for student retention and educational success), signed an open letter to the newspaper entitled Il ne faut pas lâcher ("We can't give up"). André Chagnon, Chairman of the Board and CEO, and Claude Chagnon, President of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation, are among those who signed the document.
The letter stresses that "even if all children are not future university students, it is up to us to do everything we can to help them achieve their full potential or, at the very least, to reduce the obstacles in their path to educational success."
