Québec en Forme preparing to launch a campaign to increase physical activity among Quebec preteens

Between the ages of 9 and 13, young Quebecers begin to become less physically active - a trend that continues throughout their teenage years. Faire bouger les 9-13 is a new initiative from Québec en Forme inspired by the highly successful VERB social media campaign sponsored by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention between 2002 and 2006. The main elements of the campaign have been adapted for the Quebec market and updated to reflect the latest developments in the Internet and social media. The campaign will be launched in the summer of 2012 and continue over the next four years.
