Initiatives locales et lutte contre la pauvreté et l’exclusion (Local initiatives and the fight against poverty and exclusion)

Although the social economy and community action work hard to counter the underlying causes of poverty and exclusion, they cannot bring about significant change on their own. In cooperation with the public and private economy, however, they can form the base of a multifaceted development strategy that can enhance the common assets of local communities. That is the conclusion of this in-depth analysis of 10 local initiatives aimed at combating poverty and exclusion in three regions of Quebec (Montreal, Saguenay Lac-Saint-Jean and the Lower St. Lawrence)
