The Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation, Avenir d'enfants and Québec en Forme: partners in a new Télé-Québec children's television series
On April 11, the creation of a brand new television series for toddlers and pre-schoolers was announced. The series, called 1, 2, 3... Géant, will be broadcast by Télé-Québec starting in the fall of 2011. The Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation and the organizations Avenir d'enfants and Québec en Forme are playing an active role in this welcome initiative. Although the Foundation will not be involved in the actual production of the series, it wants to contribute, along with Avenir d'enfants and Québec en Forme, to the other elements that will complement the series : website, publications, presentations in schools and related community initiatives. As Claude Chagnon explained in his speech, "1, 2, 3...Géant is a perfect fit with the mission and objective of our Foundation, which is to promote the educational success of young Quebecers."
