The Fondation du CHUQ and the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation toast the perfect infant food
On March 17, 2010, the mother and child centre of the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CHUQ) welcomed representatives of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation on the occasion of their official presentation of a $500,000 donation to the Fondation du CHUQ to promote breastfeeding. In recognition of this contribution, the CHUQ has made a formal commitment to respect the objectives of the Baby-Friendly Initiative, a program developed by UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) to protect, promote and support breastfeeding in communities around the world.
