715 partners in 36 communities to receive $5 million in funding for early childhood development project
On June 10, 2010, the organization Avenir d'enfants announced its decision to finance 36 projects submitted by 36 separate communities. A total of $5 million will therefore be going to support the overall development of young children, particularly those living in poverty. "The fact that no fewer than 715 partners in 36 different communities have joined forces to propose action plans is a great start ", said Line Bérubé, Chair of the Board of Directors of Avenir d'enfants. "We are especially encouraged to see that, in half of the cases, there are many parents actively participating in the groups and helping to define the projects."
