A $400 million-dollar fund for projects promoting the development of young children living in poverty
On March 11, Quebec Minister of Families Tony Tomassi introduced Bill 7 - An Act to establish an early childhood development fund. This innovative partnership between the government and the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation is one of the important measures aimed at giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunities and support they need to succeed and stay in school. "Our foundation feels that taking action early on in children's lives is crucial. That is why we are interested in participating in the Quebec government's initiatives that focus on early childhood development," explained André Chagnon.
