The Société de gestion du Fonds pour la promotion de saines habitudes de vie gets a clean bill of health
On Universal Children's Day, November 20, Dr. Alain Poirier, President of the Société de gestion du Fonds pour la promotion de saines habitudes de vie, announced the first projects to receive support from the Fund. The joint fund of $400 million over 10 years was created through a partnership between the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation and the Quebec government. Jean-Marc Chouinard, Chairman of the Board of Québec en Forme, commented that "less than one year after our call for project proposals, we've enjoyed tremendous success. The growing number of communities mobilized around children fully justifies the creation of the Fund and confirms its relevance."
