Death of Mrs. Lucie Chagnon
The Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation sincerely thanks you for your messages of sympathy following the death of its co-founder Lucie Chagnon.
1929-2014
It was with great sadness that the members of the Board of Directors and the personnel of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation learned of the death of Lucie Chagnon (nee Dolan) on August 17, 2014 from Alzheimer's disease.
Lifelong partner and collaborator of André Chagnon, Lucie Chagnon will be remembered as a woman of deep commitment. Married for 65 years, the Chagnons formed a strongly united couple, founding a family whose achievements continue to have an impact on Quebec society. Everyone who met Lucie Chagnon was impressed by her generosity, kindness, sense of humour and genuine interest in every person she came into contact with. The creation of the Foundation in 2000 was the concrete expression of her profound desire to improve the lives of her fellow citizens, a desire she shared with her husband André and their children, Johanne, Claude, Christian, Élaine and Isabelle.
Those wishing to express their sympathy to the family are requested to make a donation to the charitable organization of their choice or to the Fondation Institut de gériatrie de Montréal.
