A guide to support efforts to keep students in school
Laurier Fortin, full professor at the Université de Sherbrooke, has published Trait d'union, a high-school dropout prevention program. The guide, prepared for education practitioners, presents a step-by-step program for adopting measures designed to keep students in school. The program is intended for use in all secondary schools. The guide is divided into seven chapters that explain the basis of the program, its practical application, training of personnel involved, identifying target students, follow-up meetings, implementation strategies and the results of the pilot program.
