Who we are

In 2010, according to the Institut de la statistique du Québec, 161,000 children under 18 (10.7%) were living in poverty based on the Low-Income Measure (LIM) after tax. Today, too many children are still affected by this situation.

"We refuse to accept the inevitability of poverty. In a society such as ours, it is unacceptable that many, many children are still living and growing up in  disadvantaged conditions. The poverty that affects these children and their  families concerns all of us: theirs is not the only development that is  compromised. The development of our society as a whole is at stake. […] It is by constantly working to combine all our efforts that we will create the human chain needed to prevent poverty and ensure that the children of Quebec enjoy success in school and in life."
